Town of Culpeper Seeks Input for Street Safety Improvement Plan
The Town of Culpeper is seeking community feedback to help guide the development of an action plan through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets 4 All (SS4A) grant program. The projects identified in the action plan will be a major input in updating the Town's thoroughfare plan, which aims to improve connectivity and multi-modal transportation. The action plan will serve as the philosophic basis of future town transportation planning efforts with an emphasis on prioritizing safety, equity, and the preservation of community and place.
About the SS4A Program:
The program supports the development of a comprehensive safety action plan (Action Plan) that identifies the most significant roadway safety concerns in a community and the implementation of projects and strategies to address roadway safety issues. Action Plans are the foundation of the SS4A grant program. SS4A requires an eligible Action Plan be in place before applying to implement projects and strategies.
